Did 50 Cent Throw A Jab At Jay-Z On 'Flight 187'?

50 Cent and Jay-Z started out dissing each other, then they became somewhat cool, went on the road together, collaborated on freestyles and songs and the two NYC-bred moguls have made some money together. So will the New York giants be at odds anytime soon? Hmmm.

Fif dropped a video last night from his new mixtape The 50th Law of Power, which includes the line "Jay rockin' that Urkel look, isn't he from Marcy?/ They say he growing dreads and now he's talking like a Yardie." Is it a stone-cold dis, or is Curtis Jackson just poking a little fun at his friend's much talked about 'fro? Jay had been growing his hair long for about a year, explaining that he didn't want to cut it until his album was completed.

We all know 50's penchant for battling his peers, but usually when he wants to really insult somebody, he gets directly to the point with no gray area. Still, some of the fans on Twitter and Facebook say that the remark is a definite jab.

What will Jay-Z think? Hov for the most part has ignored the bad-mouthing he's received from Cam'ron, Jim Jones and the Game the past few years. In thelatest edition of XXL, he calls the West Coast former G-Unit member "no competition."

"I mean, Game, I'm his f---ing idol," Hov said in the October issue. "If you ask him and he's being truthfully honest with you ... it's just based off his insecurities and, for the most part, pretension. That type of competition doesn't do anything for me. It's almost like someone trying to set you up, and everyone knows they're to set you up ... it's just dumb. It's not in the spirit of competition, because he's not competition for me. He's not. Not then, not ever — he'd have to improve considerably. Competition for me is Nas, Eminem. Like Jim Jones? That's ridiculous to me. So how do I respond to that? I can't win. If I win, then they'll be like, 'See. Now chill. You're a f---in' bully.' And if Game manages to throw a haymaker from the West Coast, then it's like, 'Oooooh.' It's not even fun."

Surely Hov would see 50 Cent as a worthy adversary — that's if the two decided to spark that lyrical rivalry up again. Personally, the guys up here in 1515 Broadway are hoping it won't come to that. We need more Jay and 50 songs, a real hardcore joint like that Reebok commercial freestyle. We'd love to see Hov and Fif on tour together again, like on "Rock the Mic." It's not up to us though. What do you guys think?

Cam'ron Won't Squash Differences With 50 Cent At '40 Day'

'I'm not going to no show in Queens,' Cam tells Mixtape Daily.

We came across an ill rumor yesterday. If 50 Cent were to perform at his "40 Day" neighborhood gathering in Southside Queens on August 30, he would have brought Cam'ron onstage with him. Wow. A real dope moment for the fans, but it would be very shocking — hypothetically speaking, since the two exchanged a myriad of disses years ago. But hey, if G-Unit are now doing records with D-Block, anything is possible. As luck would have it, we ran into Killa Cam recently in Harlem. We set up a joint interview with Cam, Vado and DJ Drama while they filmed a video for the mixtape track "Ric Flair," and during a break in filming, Killa addressed the rumors.

"Nah, I'm not going to no show in Queens," Cam said. "I don't know how true it is ... a few of my people — associates — said [some of 50's associates] was trying to reach out. But I ain't going to no concert in Queens. Come up to Harlem Week. We could sit down and have the roundtable meeting if you really wanna be serious. Or meet anywhere ... we can meet in Benihana's if you wanna be serious. It don't matter. I'm not squashing a problem we had in Queens at your event. That's the same way he got other artists to come to his shows, whether they was down with Dipset or D-Block or T.S., or whatever the case may be. It ain't no real beef, but we ain't gonna squash what we had at a Queens event. We'll meet halfway — Triborough Bridge or something. But I ain't going to no show in Queens. I'll be at Harlem Week."

One day the bosses may sit down, but in the meantime, Killa is focusing on his new crew, the U.N., and lead artist Vado.

"We work every day. I got the U.N., Charlie Clipse, Bird Lady, Dipset West. It's like two different record labels under one umbrella. As far as the U.N. album, how deep we are? We got like 60, 70 songs done. That's why we knock the mixtapes out because if it don't come out, the music starts getting old. I wanna put it out before I start saying, 'Dag, remember that joint we did last January?' But we're done [recording] — we could put an album out tomorrow if we needed to."

In early September, Cam is dropping the Boss of All Bosses Part 2 mixtape. That will be followed by the U.N. album, Vado's solo debut and Cam's next solo opus.

"It's flooded — the schedule's crazy."

Jay-Z revealed the track list to his upcoming eleventh studio album, "The Blueprint 3," on his official website, www.jay-z.com, yesterday (Aug. 18th). Slated for a September 11th release date, "Blueprint" will be released on Jay-Z's own Roc Nation with distribution through Atlantic Records.

Michael Jackson's Cause Of Death Deferred

Medical examiner has ordered additional testing, which will take four to six weeks to complete.

After several hours of delay, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office announced at a press conference on Friday (June 26) that a determination of Michael Jackson's cause of death following his autopsy has been deferred pending further tests.

The development had been expected, as the coroner's office had warned earlier that tests conducted during the autopsy would take several weeks to complete.

"The cause of death has been deferred, which means that the medical examiner has ordered additional testing, such as toxicology and other studies," Craig Harvey, the operations chief and spokesperson for the coroner's office, said in a press conference. "Those tests we anticipated will take approximately four to six additional weeks to complete."

In addition to the toxicology tests, the coroner's office will be conducting neuropathology and pulmonary tests.

"After those results have been completed, we anticipate being able to close the case and issuing a final cause of death," Harvey said.

The autopsy revealed no external trauma to Jackson's body, nor any indication that foul play was involved in the singer's death. A Los Angeles Police Department detective was present during the autopsy. The LAPD requested that a security hold be placed on the investigation of Jackson, so the coroner's office was limited in the amount of information it could release.

While Harvey did confirm that Jackson was taking prescription medication, he would not comment on the specific types or doses of the medication.

The coroner's office had not spoken with any personal doctor to Jackson. The LAPD announced earlier that it wanted to interview the doctor who was at Jackson's home when the singer collapsed. According to TMZ, that doctor is cardiologist Dr. Conrad Murray, and he is preparing to speak with law enforcement officials.

The autopsy took approximately three hours, which Harvey said is a standard amount of time, and concluded at 1 p.m. PT. The subsequent press conference was postponed, Harvey explained, due to simple procedural delays and the need to handle various press inquiries.

With the autopsy complete, Jackson's family can begin the process of claiming his body. There was still no word of when they plan on doing so, and no funeral plans have been announced at press time.

Michael Jackson Rushed To Hospital

Singer reportedly suffered cardiac arrest on Thursday.

Michael Jackson was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Los Angeles on Thursday (June 25) after suffering cardiac arrest, according to TMZ. The site reported that paramedics administered CPR in the ambulance after picking up the singer at his home in the Holmby Hills neighborhood.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived. Captain Steve Ruda told the paper that Jackson was not breathing when paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home around 12:26 p.m. PT.

A Jackson family member reportedly told TMZ that the singer is in "really bad shape" and his brothers are headed to UCLA. Jackson's father, Joe, reportedly told the site that his son is "not doing too well."

MTV News was unable to reach representatives for Jackson at press time.

If the reports are accurate, this development will almost certainly have an impact on the singer's 50 scheduled concerts in London, which are scheduled to begin on July 13. The concerts all sold out within hours of the tickets going on sale.

The residency, called This Is It, is scheduled to continue through February. Jackson has said these are the last shows he'll play in London.

However, the singer has been dogged by a $40 million lawsuit filed earlier this month by promoter AllGood Entertainment Inc., claiming breach of contract and fraud in an attempt to stop Jackson from performing in London. The New Jersey-based company filed the suit in federal court in New York stating that it signed a deal with Jackson's manager, Frank DiLeo, in November 2008 that commits the singer to appear at a Jackson family reunion concert in the U.S. this summer.

AllGood CEO Patrick Allocco told MTV News that the contract was for a concert that was originally scheduled to take place this July. "The date we now have on hold is July 3 in Cowboy Stadium in 2010," Allocco said, adding that the contract stipulates that Jackson cannot perform individually before the AllGood show or for three months after the July event.

Jackson, who had been rehearsing for the London shows in Los Angeles, has claimed he never personally signed the papers for the family-reunion show, and AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips has called the AllGood claims "meritless." But Allocco said, "Frank DiLeo is clearly the manager of [Michael] Jackson now, and he signed the deal on his behalf."

Exclusive: 50 Cent Talks War Angel LP,Which Drops Next Week

Fif tells Mixtape Daily that upcoming tape is 'the best body of work I put out in the mixtape circuit.'

The Overdose: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive

Expect the unexpected. The game moves so quickly, and we're prepared for anything, so you should always look to us to document it. Two Mixtape Daily articles in one day? (Make sure you peep that Fire Starter!) Why not if the content's there?

We were prepping a real ill Behind the Beats to land Friday morning, but everything got put on pause when 50 Cent decided to phone in. The G-Unit General is putting out a project of all-new material calledWar Angel LP on Tuesday viaThisIs50.com. He says it's more like a street album than a mixtape. Fif -- who's in L.A. right now recording Before I Self Destructwith Timbaland and Polow Da Don — said he's throwing heat rocks all summer long, then dropping his official LP in September (dare we dream he drops the same day as Jay?).

"I'm finnin' to get on the street, you already know what time it is," he said via cell.

The tagline for the project is "Prepare for Total Destruction."

"You know what it is, it's a conflict," Fif described. "The exact opposite. I didn't want to write Angel Demon. It's not the contrast between good and bad. But ... if someone's at war, I'm sure they're saying their prayers. They believe they have angels around them. What would you call an angel around a soldier at war?"

A War Angel, of course.

"That's why I titled it that," he added. "Creatively, this is not even a mixtape. That's why I put LP next to it. ... My core audience will understand it immediately, and it's written specifically for that."

With such a potent title, some people are obviously expecting him to go at his last known enemy: Rick Ross. Fif said that's not the case. He's done with the Miami MC.

"You're gonna see," he promised, before explaining why the beef with Ross is over. "I think if you don't identify when you've won a race, you'll continue to run victory laps until you've exhausted yourself. There's nothing else to win in the Rick Ross situation. There's nothing else to do to that guy from my perspective."

So who will 50 be firing missiles at?

"It's not a specific target, a specific person, I'm writing about," he clarified. "When you hear it, out of all the material I put on the street, you're gonna say that's the best body of work I put out in the mixtape circuit, period. The way the mood of music is right now, when they hear what this is, they'll say, 'That's what we needed.' "

More 50 Cent underground releases will follow in just a few short weeks.

"I have two other tapes to follow it," he revealed. "Fourth of July, Sincerely Southside Part 2 coming out with mostly '90s music on it. Timeless music, classic hit records. Then, after that, there's a G-Unit mixtape. It's actually untitled. I'll be finished with it in the next day or so."
